Attention Grandma's

Do you ever send your grandkids cards in the mail? Even if they live in the same town? Building a close relationship with your grandkids is so important. And they all love getting mail. (Even the older ones. Especially if there is a just because gift card in there) This card could be sent to a boy or girl. The inside says "hello" Frog stamps are from Close To My Heart.

Monkey Valentine

I was playing with my sock monkey stamp and this card evolved. I found the matching paper at Hobby Lobby.

Happy Monday

Here is a card using another Art Impressions stamp that I just bought. I love their line of stamps. This one is for my birthday stash. You can never have too many on hand.

"Life's too Short"

I have a friend who's favorite saying is "Life's too short". I found these stamps at Art Impressions. They have some great funny stamps that are a lot of fun to color. This card is for her.

Why "An Encouraging Word...?"

Welcome to my blog. Besides the fact that I love creating, one of the reasons that I started card making was so that I could send encouraging notes to friends, family, and others. What exactly does it mean to encourage...
To encourage is to give courage, to give hope, to give confidence, to give comfort, to inspire, help, support, aid, cheer, console and to reassure.
One of my greatest joys is making a card with someone in mind and getting that card in the mail. It is one small way to let people know that they are important enough for you to take the time to make something special for them, that you are thinking about them. It doesn't have to be fancy. There are so many lonely and forgotten people in this busy world. A simple card can change some ones day. Ask the Lord to put someone on your heart that may need some encouragement and then follow through.
